Man charged with DUI after striking pole outside Kroger

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

A 34-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence early Sunday morning after he rammed his vehicle into a pole in a Kroger parking lot.

The incident involving Jacob Crawford occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the grocery store located on Hillsboro Road.

Police reported Crawford had struck a steel sign post, suspending the front of his vehicle three feet in the air.

Crawford reportedly was drinking at a nearby bar prior to the accident.

He is charged with DUI and reckless driving. Crawford has since been released on a $2,5000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court December 19.
