NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A 25-year-old Nashville man was killed in a fiery crash early Monday morning in south Nashville.

According to Metro police, the victim was driving south on Paragon Mills Road just after 3 a.m. when his car failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway near Aster Drive, collided with a tree and burst into flames.

Due to the extent of his injuries, the medical examiner's office will be using dental records to make a positive identification.

The cause of the crash is not yet known at this time.  Speed is a possible factor.

Three blocks of Paragon Mills Road were closed for four hours as authorities cleared the scene.
