A driver lost control of his vehicle early Monday morning, sending it down a steep embankment and nose-first into a creek.
The crash was reported around 3:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Haywood Lane near the intersection of West Valley Drive in south Nashville.
Officials told News 2 the driver was coming down a hill when he lost control, causing him to drive 15 feet down a ditch into the Sorghum Branch creek.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to okay. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
Haywood Lane shut down until around 7 a.m. as crews worked to pull the car from the embankment and clear the scene.
