NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Dozens of runners paired ugly Christmas sweaters with running shoes on Saturday at the Ugly Sweater Run at Centennial Park.

The race began at 11 a.m. and benefited the local Toys for Tots chapter.

Participants donated to the toy drive and runners enjoyed holiday themed stations that were placed at every mile.

Organizers told Nashville's News 2 that the race continues to grow bigger and better every year.

At the end of the race, participants received hot chocolate and took place in an awards ceremony. Awards for best real mustache, best fake mustache, best beard, worst sweater and best sweater wrapped up the holiday run.

Nashville is just one of 30 cities that hosts an annual ugly sweater race across the country.
