After a windy, cold, but dry Saturday, we could see freezing rain and sleet push into the Nashville area and much of the north and northwest 2/3 of Middle TN overnight tonight.
Notice the National Weather Service's Winter Weather Advisory does not include some of our south and southeast counties.
That's because temps to the south should be above freezing when the precip arrives, but not to the north.
See the 2nd graphic showing GFS forecast temperatures for midnight. Nashville is at or below 32.
Rough ETA would be around midnight. But timing could be several hours either way.
The freezing rain and sleet could cause some slick roads even in Nashville overnight and possibly coat trees and powerlines.
The good news is that it moves fast and changes to all rain not long after sunrise on Sunday.
However, early Sunday travelers could be affected by this.
