Preds plane hits hawk during takeoff, forced to return to airport

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A plane carrying the Nashville Predators hockey team was forced to make an emergency return to the Nashville International Airport on Friday.

The plane hit a hawk during takeoff around 2 p.m., forcing the aircraft to return to BNA.

No one was injured during the flight.

The Predators are playing the Capitals in Washington, D.C. Saturday night at 6 p.m.
