Ensworth wins fourth straight state football championship

The Ensworth Tigers trailed for three quarters. but blew up in the fourth to win their fourth straight state football championship 27-10 over Memphis University School.

D'Andre Ferby scored a touchdown two minutes into the fourth quarter to cut the MUS lead to 10-7.

Ferby was the game's offensive MVP with 167 yards.

One minute later the Tigers took the lead when Thomas Freeland intercepted Blake Bennett and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown and the Tigers led the Division II-AA title game 14-10.

Donovan Sheffield returned an interception 32 yards for another Ensworth TD just seconds later. 

Sheffield capped the scoring with a six-yard touchdown run with 3:49 to play.

Ensworth finishes the season 11-1.
