Social gathering space opens in downtown Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A new social gathering space offering everything from breakfast to bowling opened in downtown Nashville on Wednesday.
Pinewood Social is not only a place to throw a few back, but also where locals can eat, bowl, sing karaoke, and, eventually, swim.
Visitors can hang out all day over a cup of coffee provided by Crema in the morning then move on to a burger that night.
"We open up every day, Monday through Friday, at 7 o'clock in the morning and stay open until 1 a.m. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner," said Matt Buttel, General Manager.
All of the food is made in-house from scratch. Pinewood even cultures its own oatmeal, berries, various seeds and apples.
Several of the menu items are aimed toward six to eight people to culture the feel of a "meeting" or "gathering" space.
"We have large format fried chicken and pot roast. We're really designed for groups of six to seven people," Buttel explained.
Located next to the Cumberland River and just off Hermitage Avenue, the venue aims to bring people together through each element of their 13,000 square foot meeting space.
It includes a dining area, living room, bar, private event space, bowling alley, coffee bar, and an entire outdoor area with a pool, planned to open up in this spring.
The pool has no membership and is completely free.
"Really, we wanted to make this available to everyone. This is not a private club. It's based off seating capacity, certainly, but anybody can call and make a reservation, or if they just want to show up, we have tables, booths and cabanas outside," Buttel said.
