Hands on Nashville works to collect 500 bikes for kids in need

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Non-profit organization Hands on Nashville is working to collect 500 bikes for children in need.

Volunteers will make necessary repairs to all of the donated bikes, returning them to like new condition before the bikes are given to under served children in the spring.

Hands on Nashville is also accepting cash donations which will be used to purchase helmets, to go along with the bike.

"That way we can give away bike helmets with every bike and we'll also teach them safety lessons to help keep them safe," Becca Wilson with Hands on Nashville said.

To donate a bike to the cause, visit Hands on Nashville's Web site.
