A Robertson County woman was arrested Monday on charges she stole more than $200,000 in a phone card scheme.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, 21-year-old Alexandrea Petty, of Springfield, pretended to be a Walmart supervisor and activated stolen Straightalk phone cards during a period of time the activation system was down.

Once the cards were activated, Petty allegedly sold the cards or returned them to Walmart for profit.

The scheme cost Walmart around $18,000 and Tracfone, which owns Straightalk, nearly $215,000.

Petty was booked into the Robertson County jail on one count of theft over $60,000. Her bond was set at $10,000.
