Metro Animal Care and Control hosts Black Friday adoption event

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro Animal Care and Control offered it's first ever Black Friday adoption event.

The shelter was packed with people eager to bring home a new four-legged friend.

Adoption fees are were reduced to $35 per pet.

News 2 spoke with Jamea Larkin, who adopted two dogs, on Friday.

"We got two dogs today, Deacon and Whitley. Whitley is a small lab, three months old, and she's brown and white, and she's my dog and that's why I'm so excited," said Larkin.

The Williamson County Animal Shelter is also hosting an adoption event on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Adoption fees will be reduced to $20.
