RED BANK, Tenn. (AP) - Police say a Red Bank man is facing charges after a Thanksgiving Day fire left one man dead and several families homeless.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports that Red Bank firefighters responded early Thursday to a blaze at a two-story house that contained four apartments.

Hamilton County Emergency Services spokeswoman Amy Maxwell said firefighters found a victim of the blaze in an upstairs apartment. Police identified him as 51-year-old Dewey Lee Rose. Two other people were injured after jumping out of windows.

Red Bank Police Chief Tim Christol said the fire was caused by arson. Officers arrested 33-year-old Christopher Wehunt on charges of criminal homicide, aggravated arson, reckless endangerment, vandalism and reckless aggravated assault.

Wehunt was being held on a $750,000 bond.
