Predators stay hot routing Columbus 4-0

The Nashville Predators won for the fifth time in six games blowing out the Blue Jackets 4-0 Wednesday night in Columbus.

The Predators controlled play from the opening drop of the puck despite only leading 1-0 after the first period. The Predators kept up the pressure with a pair of second period goals to put it away.

Matt Cullen got the scoring started for Nashville with his fifth of the year. Mike Fisher and David Legwand also found the net for the fifth time this season.

Fisher's power play goal came just 54 seconds into the second period and put the Predators in firm command. Nick Spaling scored his fourth goal of the season in the third period to make it 4-0.

In the net, Marak Mazanec was perfect with 19 saves as he turned in the second shutout of his young career. Mazanec is 5-0-1 in his last six starts.

The Predators are now 13-10-2 and are back home Thanksgiving night against the Edmonton Oilers
