100-plus musicians take stage in George Jones' honor
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Dozens of country stars and musicians honored the late George Jones Friday night in a concert that was originally slated to be the country legend's last performance prior to his untimely death in April.
The tribute concert began at 7:30 p.m. at the Bridgestone Arena and featured performances by Kid Rock, Brad Paisley, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert, among many others.
Friday night's show was sold out, but was shown on screens set up outside the arena.
Jones passed away at the age of 81 at a Nashville hospital.
