NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Mocs of UT Chattanooga travel to Tuscaloosa on Saturday to take on the University of Alabama.

On the field will be more than a dozen football players from Middle Tennessee, including former Father Ryan player Nick Pollard, who was 2009's Mr. Football Winner.

He is now the starting kicking for UTC.

"It's all what happens on the field, not so much what happens in the atmosphere, you know it may get to some people, but you know you just have to hold yourself and go out and perform," Nick said.

Pollard's proud parents will be among the thousands of fans cheering their son on Saturday,

"We're excited," mother Jennifer Pollard said. "Chattanooga has pretty good parental and fan support, so we expect to have a pretty good section at the game there."

Former high school coach Bruce Luissier added, "We here at [Father] Ryan will be proud that we have someone playing against that Alabama team, especially at the level they are playing now."

Pollard is majoring in criminal justice at the Chattanooga university.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has 16 players from Middle Tennessee on this year's roster.
