Wrong-way driver causes head-on collision, 4 injured

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. -

Four people were injured after a head-on collision in Goodlettsville Sunday morning.

The incident occurred just after 3:30 a.m. on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard at mile marker 1, just past Conference Drive.

Goodlettsville police told News 2 the driver of a Scion was going the wrong way and crashed into another vehicle.

Three people were taken to Skyline Medical Center for their non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Scion was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is in critical but stable condition.

Police said there was no indication that alcohol or drugs were involved.

It was not immediately clear why the driver was traveling the wrong way, but witnesses in Hendersonville reported seeing the vehicle traveling in the wrong direction, about three miles away from the accident scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
