NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man recently arrested for breaking into a car and assaulting an officer has been linked to a string of burglaries.

According to a police affidavit, 37-year-old Ryan Haraway was arrested Sunday night for breaking into a car in the Edgehill area. When officers tried to take him into custody, he kicked an officer in the mouth.

The following day, police obtained a search warrant for his car and found several items linked to multiple burglaries in the area. Inside officers found stolen liquor bottles and journals along with other documents listing one of the victims' names.

Detectives said due to prior interactions with Haraway, they already had a description of his vehicle and were able to develop him as a suspect.

He was arrested for aggravated burglary, among other charges.
