ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has suspended their search for a man who went missing while boating on Johnson Creek Monday.

Kenneth Elliott, 55, of Clarksville, was reported missing around 7:30 p.m. after his family became concerned when he didn't return home from a fishing trip.

His boat was found three hours later along the Dickson County line.  Elliott had entered the water on the Cheatham County side, near Cheatham Dam.

The search became recovery effort Wednesday morning after Elliott could not be found.

The Dickson County Sheriff's Office told News 2 Thursday morning that the TWRA has decided to suspend their recovery efforts.

News 2 has reached out to the TWRA for further details.
