KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) -
Kingsport Police hope anyone with information about a November armed robbery - even a tip that might seem insignificant - will call investigators right away.

Earlier this month, police released surveillance photos of the suspects as they robbed Cash Express, 4200 West Stone Drive in Kingsport, on November 1st at 3:35 p.m.

Police said the suspects were both dressed in red hooded sweatshirts, blue jeans, and white cotton gloves, and both were carrying silver colored handguns.

"There were two female clerks working at Cash Express at the time of the robbery,"  said  P.I.O. Thomas  M. Patton, Kingsport Police.  "One of the employees was ordered to the floor at gunpoint and handcuffed. The other employee was instructed at gun point to hand over all of the money."

Patton said the suspects stole one of the employee's car.   It was later found in Hawkins County.

"Most of the time in these cases, we see someone come in and flash the weapon, demand the cash and then flee," said Patton. "But actual physical assault and even tying somebody up or handcuffing is not something we see a lot."

The check cashing business owner targeted by identically dressed armed robbers is now offering a $5000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone who knows the identity of the suspects or has additional information about the robbery should contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
