A man was beaten and robbed by another man wearing a hot dog costume after a Halloween party in Cookeville last weekend.The Herald Citizen reported the victim suffered several injuries after being confronted by two men in his apartment's driveway located on West 6th Street on November 2.Police stated the victim was at a Halloween party at CHAR, a local bar, the night of November 1 when a "contest" broke out between the bar's regulars.The victim reportedly stepped in and tried to break up the fight, which brought on an "exchange of words."Soon after, the victim left with a group of people who dropped him off outside of his apartment. Two white men then approached him.Police said the victim believes the men followed him from CHAR because he remembers seeing them there.The two men, one of which was dressed up in a hot dog costume, began fighting the victim. He attempted to fight back, but was overcome by the suspects.After the victim lost two teeth, chipped another tooth and suffered a busted lip, the suspects fled with his wallet and company card.The victim remained in the roadway until a neighbor found him and called police.*The Herald Citizen contributed to this report.
