MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders came into Birmingham, Alabama needing two more wins to become bowl eligible, and they got one of those wins today in a second half comeback against UAB.

MTSU was scoreless until the 3rd quarter when Logan Killgore found Kyle Griswould for a 3 yard touchdown pass.

Middle took the lead in the 4th quarter when Killgore hit Marcus Henry on a routine slant pass that Henry took 93 yards for a touchdown and a 1 point Blue Raider lead.

The Blue Raiders went up by 8 after Stephen Roberts intercepted a pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown.

UAB tied the game late in the 4th quarter at 21-21, but a huge 34 yard run by Reggie Wheatley set up Cody Clark for the game winning field goal and a 24-21 MTSU win.

The Blue Raiders now sit at 5-4 on the season and are just one win away from becoming bowl eligible.
