Although there is a slight chance there will be a brief break in the steady rains during the early evening hours, all in all, it still looks soggy for Trick or Treating.
Even if a brief break does develop, the rain will return and the ground is a muddy mess!
If parents could have an indoor alternative, it would be best!
Now for severe weather chances:
The tornado threat still looks low, and mostly west of the Tennessee River (see 2nd graphic).
The chances for severe thunderstorm wind gusts are medium, BUT the winds OUTSIDE of the thunderstorms have already been gusting up to around 35 mph! Some gusts later with the thunderstorms could approach 50 mph.
Timing of any severe storms would be in the 6PM-Midnight range in Nashville.
The threat for severe weather reduces from west to east as you can tell by the second and third graphic.
The complete end of the rain chances will come with the frontal passage around 11PM to 1AM in Nashville.
