NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Two schools in west Nashville were on lockdown Monday afternoon while police searched for a suicidal person.

The schools, Bass Learning Center and Cockrill Elementary School, were placed on lockdown around 12:30 p.m. as a precaution, according to schools spokesperson Joe Bass.

The lockdown was lifted just over an hour later, at 1:45 p.m.

Police dispatchers said the person suffering mental health issues was last seen in the 5300 block of Illinois Avenue.

It was not immediately clear if that person was located.
