A 27-year-old Nashville man is lucky to be alive after a guardrail went through his vehicle during an accident early Monday morning.
Christopher Wagblom crashed his car on Old Harding Pike at South Colony Drive in Bellevue around 1:40 a.m.
Authorities say Wagblom hydroplaned due to slippery road conditions after light rain.
His vehicle struck a guardrail, which then impaled the vehicle on the passenger's side, resting on the dashboard merely inches from Wagblom.
Wagblom sustained only minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
No further information was released.
