A portion of Interstate 24 in Trigg County, Kentucky shut down due to a fatal crash early Saturday morning.The crash occurred around mile marker 62 along I-24 west.Officials told News 2 a semi-truck and passenger car collided and landed in the median.
According to WKDZ Radio, 60-year-old James Davis of Mississippi was driving the semi-truck when he went to the other side of the road and overcorrected before crashing into the median.The truck was hauling consumer tongue-and-groove flooring. The load was separated from the truck upon impact. Crews called in backup help to assist in removing the product.
The other driver involved in the crash is expected to recover from his injuries. No other details were immediately released.
