An east Tennessee mother charged with selling her children to a sex film ring has entered a not guilty plea.
Connie McCall, 40, entered the plea Wednesday in federal court, the Johnson City Press reported.
A federal grand jury charged McCall and her husband Ronnie with selling children for the purpose of creating child porn and other sex-related charges.
The alleged sex-related sale of their children was not final. At the time, their daughters' approximate ages were 5, 11, 14 and 16.
Washington County prosecutor Anthony W. Clark says the man who allegedly had sexual contact with the underage girls and filmed the encounters committed suicide.
