NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Two men were arrested after being captured by K9s when citizens reported they were burglarizing a beauty supply store early Wednesday morning.

Brian Wiseman, 29, and Acel Pope Jr., 31, were arrested just after Midnight at Hair World Beauty Supply on Gallatin Pike at the corner of Harris Street in Madison.

Witnesses reported seeing the two suspects at the back door, trying to break in.

When authorities arrived, the back door had been pried open. Wiseman and Pope were inside the business and refused to come out.

Police then sent two K9s into the building.  The dogs bit and helped capture both men.

As a precaution, a third K9 was released into Hair World, but no one else was found hiding inside.

Authorities said both Wiseman and Pope admitted they burglarized the store because of money issues. The store sells extensions and wigs that sell for thousands of dollars.

The suspects were transported to Metro General Hospital due to their wounds in the K9 apprehension.

They are each charged with one count of burglary.

Wiseman faces an additional charge of criminal impersonation after police say initially gave them his brother's name instead of his own.
