NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man was arrested Tuesday after he reportedly made a sexual gesture toward a young girl and then pulled a knife on the mother after she ran him off.

Authorities arrested Kevin Ross, 32, after they found him behind a shed in the 1700 block of D.B. Todd Boulevard.

Police said Ross was standing on the sidewalk of 22nd Avenue North when he allegedly grabbed his groin through his pants while looking at a seven-year-old girl and stated, "Come here."

The girl's mother, aunt and family friend told police they saw what happened and chased Ross into a nearby alley.

Ross is accused of pulling a knife on the women, saying to the mother, "Come on, [redacted]. I [wanted] you anyway."

The women then stopped following him and called police, who located him behind the shed.

Ross was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault.

He is being held in the Davidson County jail on $45,000 bond.
