Light-to-moderate rain showers are already scattered around Nashville and the rest of Middle Tennessee Wednesday morning.
The good news is that no lightning or heavy downpours are expected. Rain totals with Wednesday's slow-moving cold front are expected to range from 0.25" to 0.75" with isolated pockets south of Interstate-40 seeing around 1".
Off-and-on showers during the morning commute will increase in coverage the rest of the morning. The rain chance will last through the afternoon and possibly as late as this evening around Nashville. It's worth mentioning that there will be breaks in the rain through the day.
Meteorologist Justin Bruce will track the showers on News 2 This Morning through 7 a.m. and during weather cut-ins on Good Morning America.
