COLUMBIA, Tenn. -

A Spring Hill teenager was killed and two others injured after their car hit a pickup truck head-on in Maury County Tuesday evening.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Kane Ragsdale, 15, died after the car he was riding in crossed the center lane of traffic on Mount Olivet Road around 6 p.m.

The driver of the car, a 17-year-old boy, and another 17-year-old male passenger were injured in the crash.

The injured teens were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center via LifeFlight.  They were last listed in stable condition.

Lance Adams, 28, the driver of the pickup truck, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities reported speed may have been a factor in the crash.  They believe proper restraints could have made a difference.

A citation was issued and criminal charges are pending.

Ragsdale was in 10th grade at Spring Hill High School.
