Skeletal remains may be those of man who overdosed
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Skeletal remains discovered Saturday afternoon behind a closed Target store are believed to be those of a 45-year-old Nashville man who, investigators have been told, may have died from a heroin overdose.
Landscapers discovered the remains behind the store located at 5330 Cane Ridge Road in Antioch.
The store has been closed since February.
Confirmation of the victim's identity is pending work by the medical examiner's office.
Detectives have been told by those who knew the man that he is believed to have overdosed sometime in August.
The circumstances of the death, including how he got to the field behind the closed store, remain under investigation.
