NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A teenager is facing multiple charges after police say he drove recklessly and crashed his vehicle Thursday afternoon, ejecting his passenger.

Scott Myrick, 19, was arrested around 2:15 p.m. on Murfreesboro Pike near Dell Parkway.

An officer said he witnessed Myrick driving 70 mph in a 45 mph zone.  Myrick allegedly continued driving when the officer tried to flag him down from his fixed post.

The 19-year-old then switched lanes multiple times to avoid the officer, maintaining his speed.

Police say he then went through a red light, swerved to avoid a turning vehicle and flipped his vehicle.

Myrick's passenger was ejected from the car and transported to Summit Hospital.  The passenger's condition was not known.

According to an affidavit, beer bottles were found inside Myrick's vehicle and many broke on the ground after the wreck.

Myrick reportedly told police he drank the night before when questioned.

He is charged with possessing alcohol under the age of 21, felony evading arrest with risk of injury and reckless driving.

His bond is set at $33,500.
