NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A 23-year-old man caught trespassing in downtown Nashville Sunday night has been identified as an alleged bank robber from Illinois.

Authorities approached Derrick Holmes while he was sitting in a window with a guitar at building located at 300 Broadway and pointed out he was in an area where a "No Trespassing" sign was posted.

Police did a routine computer check of Holmes's name and discovered he was wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for an armed robbery on September 26.

He was taken into police custody without incident and is awaiting transfer back to Illinois.
