Titans look to fix running offense

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Mike Munchak is not happy with the Titans run game, but he is not prepared to pull the plug on anyone of his linemen yet.

Fixing the interior offensive line and the run game were the Titans top priorities in the off-season.

They spent over $40-million on left guard Andy Levitre in free agency. They drafted Chance Warmack out of Alabama 10th overall. They brought in three players to battle it out at Center and Rob Turner won the job. That's a lot of change, yet the Titans could not score from the one yard line yesterday despite having four cracks at it.

Offensive tackle Michael Roos called the teams' failure "disgusting" after the game and Chris Johnson said they had to get the run game fixed or they will not be the team they want to be.

Monday Mike Munchak reiterated his frustration with the run game, but said he was not prepared to replace any of the Titans interior linemen.

The Titans managed 105 yards rushing against Kansas City, 50 of those came from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and 37 came on one run from Jackie Battle.

Fixing it this weekend will not be easy, Tennessee visits Seattle. The Seahawks defense is ranked in the top 10 in the NFL.
