Ex-convict arrested for robbing 2 US Bank locations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The FBI and Metro police arrested an ex-convict on Saturday for allegedly robbing two Nashville banks this week.

Terry Newsome, 47, has been charged federally with robbing the US Bank located at1125 Murfreesboro Pike on Monday and the US Bank location at 747 Fesslers Lane branch on Tuesday.

Police have also charged him with robbing the Mapco convenience store located at 1191 Murfreesboro Pike at knifepoint on September 25.

Newsome, a convicted robber, registered with the Nashville Police Department as an ex-con on August 27.

He was arrested at a home on Green Street after a brief struggle.

Newsome is being held in the Metro jail with appearances pending in both state and federal court.
