NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Titans quarterback Jake Locker said he did not see anything wrong with the hits that left him with a sprained right hip. However, head coach Mike Munchak disagreed calling them both "unnecessary".

The NFL agreed with Munchak fining Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson and Quinton Coples.

Wilkerson hit Locker first and was nailed for $15,785 by the league. Coples collided with Locker as he bounced off of Wilkerson, he was fined $7,875.

Neither player was penalized after the play.

Coples called it a "football play." Both players plan to appeal their fines.
