A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting that occurred last July.
Wali Madison, 33, is accused of firing shots that injured one man and vandalized a home in the 2700 block of Old Matthews Road on July 14.
According to police, the incident began with a dispute between neighbors. Two females from Madison's home began fighting with their neighbors, a grandmother and her granddaughter.
As the fight progressed, authorities stated the granddaughter's boyfriend began walking toward the fight and Madison came out of his home.
Madison then allegedly fired several shots. The boyfriend was struck once in the stomach.
No one else was injured, but the neighbor's car and home sustained damage from multiple gunshots amounting to $1,300.
The gunshot victim has been in the intensive care unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since the shooting.
Madison was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault, attempted criminal homicide and vandalism.
He is being held on $275,000 bond.
