Murfreesboro police are on the hunt for two thieves who broke into and ransacked a jewelry store in just two minutes.
The heist took place Sunday just before Midnight at Platinum and Gold Jewelry located at 202 N. Thompson Lane.
"It was exactly two minutes so it was definitely planned and planned well," store owner Charles Settle told News 2.
Police say the crooks pulled up in a Budget rental truck, which was also used to block the view of possible onlookers.
The brazen suspects then broke the glass of the front door to gain entry into the store, ran around frantically smashing display cases and grabbing whatever they could.
Investigators said the duo got a hold of about $50,000 worth of jewelry before taking off in the truck.
"They did it very quickly. They were in and out and they barely spoke. I'm just amazed," Settle said.
Settle added the abandoned truck was located within an hour of the robbery about two miles away from the store, between Old Fort Parkway and Medical Center Parkway, just off Interstate 24.
The store is expected to reopen in upcoming days and will be equipped with additional high tech security devices.
