NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man died shortly after being shot during a dice game Friday night.

Spencer Beasley was shot in the leg in the 1600 block of Chase Street in east Nashville.

He is believed to have been among a group of people gambling in the street when the shots were fired just after 7 p.m. Friday.

Beasley passed away Saturday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after undergoing emergency surgery.

Police have yet to determine a motive and are still trying to identify the shooter.

The suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 20 and 30 with a thin build and short hair.
