A woman was booked into Metro jail on multiple charges early Thursday morning after authorities found more than 900 grams of marijuana in her vehicle within the reach of an unrestrained child.
Officers arrested Temptress Peebles, 24, just after Midnight after she was pulled over on Ed Temple Boulevard because her license plate was not visible.
She was taken into custody after officers discovered her license was expired and saw the child sitting in the backseat without proper restraints.
The large bag of marijuana was later found on the floor in the backseat.
A passenger in the car told police the marijuana was his, "it was a part of the life he lived," and Peebles knew nothing about it.
He was also arrested.
Peebles is charged with driving on a revoked license, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, having drugs in a drug-free school zone and child endangerment.
She is being held on $37,000 bond.
