Antioch neighborhood on edge after drive-by shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Neighbors in the community of Antioch are on edge Wednesday after a drive-by shooting in their neighborhood overnight.

Police said at least 22 shots were fired during the drive-by at the corner of Sheila Drive and Brenda Lane.

One neighbor News 2 spoke with described awaking to a loud sound while her children were asleep.

On Wednesday afternoon, homes and cars marred by bullets were visible.

The victim, who wanted to remain anonymous for her safety, said at least eight bullets flew into her home.

She told News 2 when she first heard the noise she thought someone was breaking into her house.

 "The moment that I realized, I was walking to the door. At that time I was thinking someone is breaking in and trying to get to the door, but I stopped and I froze because it was so loud. I panic. The first thing I did was go to the kids. That was the first thing I did," the victim said.

Police do not have a suspect description. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
