Shelbyville woman charged with human trafficking in Louisiana

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. -

A Shelbyville woman faces a human trafficking charge in a case out of Louisiana.

According to the Shelbyville Times-Gazette, Jessica Morgan was arrested at a Lake Charles motel early Monday morning alongside Ivory Pantallion III.

The pair is accused of taking a 19-year-old Alabama woman, who initially left willingly with the couple.

Upon arriving in Louisiana, Morgan, 24, and Pantallion, 33, allegedly told the victim she would be forced to work as a prostitute.

The victim's mother reported to police her daughter had been missing since last Friday and that she was being held against her will.

The woman also said her daughter's life and other family member's lives were being threatened. The victim has since been reunited with her parents.

Morgan and Pantallion face human trafficking and simple kidnapping charges. Morgan's bond was set at $500,000, while Pantallion's was set at $1 million.
