Man injured in shooting, 10 shell casings found at scene

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are investigating a shooting in east Nashville early Sunday morning.

The shooting was reported around 12:45 a.m. in the 600 block of Joseph Avenue.

According to police, the 32-year-old victim was in the parking lot of the an apartment complex when he was shot at.

He was hit in the hand, ankle, and a bullet also grazed his side.

He was driven to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Metro police are trying to determine a motive.

Detectives recovered 10 shell casings from the scene and continue to investigate.

No further details were immediately released.
