Driver wanted for fatal hit-and-run accident

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Police are continuing to work to identify the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a 29-year-old pedestrian last weekend.

Jayson Hazley was walking to a friend's motel room on Dickerson Pike when he was struck just before 5 a.m. on Briley Parkway.

The driver of the vehicle continued traveling westbound after hitting Hazley.

Authorities have since recovered the vehicle involved in the accident. The 2004 silver Pontiac Grand Prix was located at a home in the 4000 block of Ames Drive.

The owner of the car has been identified. It is unclear if the owner was behind the wheel the morning of the accident. A police interview is pending.

Police impounded the car which has been processed for evidence.
