12 drug dealers arrested during Franklin police sweep
FRANKLIN, Tenn. -
Nearly 30 drug cases are closed after Franklin police arrested a dozen people Wednesday morning.
The 12 alleged drug dealers were taken into custody during a police sweep dubbed "Operation Wakeup."
Charges against the suspects, who include Elaine Furtis, Stella Lane, Joyce Jefferson, Anthony Haynes, Amber Jasper, Nicholas Hodge, Ronald Prince, Erin Bentley, Luis Mendez, Kirk Morton, Erick Meneses and Sederic Brown, range from delivery of marijuana to selling crack cocaine near schools and parks.
Several of the suspects have since been banned from public housing by the Franklin Housing Authority.
