Metro police have arrested a man who they say posed as a police officer and tried to arrest someone.
It happened Tuesday outside a home on Luann Court in Antioch.
Authorities reported 22-year-old Pishoy Shehata waited outside the home for the victim to arrive, and then talked the victim into his car.
The affidavit said at one point, the victim tried to get out of the car when Shehata told him he was a cop, flashed a gold badge, a gun and handcuffed him.
The victim was able to get away and run for help soon after, but as he was escaping, Shehata ran over his leg with the vehicle.
Shehata allegedly admitted to the crime, and to taking the victim's car keys and phone, during police questioning.
A motive has yet to be determined.
Shehata is charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery and criminal impersonation of a law enforcement officer.
He was booked into the Metro jail on a $55,000 bond.
