NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Two women were arrested on multiple charges after they allegedly left a toddler outside while they stole from an area Walmart on Thursday.

Police said the women, Ladonna Blunt and Danquisha Thomas, both 23, first entered the business at 3458 Dickerson Pike around 7:45 a.m.

Surveillance shows Blunt leaving the store 12 minutes later, only to go back inside and leave again, ultimately returning to her vehicle around 8:10 a.m.

She is accused of bagging a $12 shirt while she was inside Walmart, then attempting to return it.

Police stated that the act of bagging the shirt constitutes theft.

Thomas is accused of stealing $15 worth of merchandise while inside the store.

Blunt's two-year-old son was reportedly left inside the car the entire time.

Surveillance revealed that he rolled down his own window and "was pulling on it like he was trying to get out of it," the affidavit read.

The keys were also left in the ignition with the front window rolled down.

Police noted that the Walmart is in a very high crime area and the child's welfare was in danger while left alone.

Both women were charged with one count of theft and one count of child neglect.
