Several Tenn. schools make the grade for best university rankings

The much-anticipated college rankings were released overnight by U.S. News.

The 2014 edition features several Tennessee schools.

Vanderbilt University ranked 17th on the national university list.  The criteria included selectivity, graduation rates, and retention.

The news outlet also ranked regional universities and colleges in the South.

For universities, Belmont placed 7th, Lipscomb came in at 20th, Western Kentucky ranked 30th, and Tennessee Tech is 32nd.

For colleges, Aquinas College made the list at 30th place.
