Burglar drinks booze, steals food, leaves items behind

A woman came home to find that someone had burglarized her residence and eaten her food on Thursday.

According to The Herald Citizen
, someone broke into the Crossville home on Lee Avenue Thursday night, but police were able to recover everything that was taken except for some food and jewelry.

Police said that the homeowner left around 7 p.m., only to return at 11 p.m. and find that someone had entered through her bedroom, drank a bottle of Bacardi liquor, left the empty bottle in the kitchen and removed several other items from the home.

The victim noticed that her 42-inch television was gone, along with all of her panties, bras, a second 22-inch TV, a Wii gaming system, jewelry, DVDs, an iPad, and some food.

The newspaper said that when she went outside, she found several of the missing items on her back porch, and the rest were in the weeds near her back yard.

The burglar allegedly stole several pieces of jewelry including a Fossil watch, two gold bracelets and a seven-cluster diamond gold ring, among others.

Two yogurts and four frozen meals were also missing from the refrigerator, on top of the empty bottle of Bacardi rum found on the floor.
