Two men were arrested at the airport Sunday afternoon after police conducted a routine traffic stop and found marijuana inside the vehicle.
Police said they pulled over Rodney Brown, 55, around 4:30 p.m. after he failed to stop at two stop signs while they were conducting stop sign enforcement at the Nashville International Airport.
After pulling Brown over, an officer ran his license and discovered it was suspended.
Authorities noticed the passenger, identified as Rodriquez Taylor, 32, trying to conceal something. Brown was placed into custody and Taylor was ordered to stand outside while officers checked the vehicle for weapons.
According to an affidavit, police found three bundled packages hidden under a small blanket behind the driver's seat.
The packages were left as they were while the officer asked Brown what they contained.
Brown reportedly replied, "Marijuana."
Taylor was also placed into custody at that time.
The packages later tested positive for marijuana and amounted to 4.6 pounds.
Both men are charged with possession of a schedule IV drug. Brown is additionally charged with driving on a revoked license.
